1. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services -
The (800) MEDICAID number is available to Medicaid beneficiaries 24 hours a

2. Decatur Yellow Bikes, Inc. - This company has manual wheelchairs available
at certain racks in Decatur to be used temporarily (example: for window shopping).

3. The Oak Ridge National Recycling Center. - This Center recycles computers;

4. The Travis Roy Foundation - This foundation provides grants to people who
have had spinal cord injuries. There is an application form. Typically, six
grants (approximately $4,00 - $6,000) are awarded at each quarterly Foundation
meeting.
5. The Foundation for Medically Fragile Children - This foundation assists families

6. Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) - FODAC offers a variety

7. Children’s Medical Services (CMS) - CMS provides assistance for medical

C. Centers for Independent Living
Currently there are seven Centers for Independent Living (CILs) serving Georgians
with disabilities. They are located in Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Macon, Gainesville
and Bainbridge as well as Chattanooga, Tennessee. Each CIL provides peer support
services, IL skills training, information and referral, and advocacy (non-legal)
for people with disabilities in the surrounding counties.
